puppy
I want a puppy again. It'll pass, it's just that it hasn't yet. A little great dane puppy. I have a picture of one named gracie but I can't figure out how to post it on my blog. It would make an excellent apartment dog and would just need long walks everyday. IMPRACTICAL you say?!! I KNOW!!! BUT STILL, I would like one anyway.
I had a WONDERFUL lunch with rebekah today, we ate outside under the oak trees on campus and stomped our feet when the squirrels got too close. btw - I had the same thing for lunch as I did for breakfast because once I had packed my lunch I wanted to eat it right then instead of the BIG BOWL INSTANT OATMEAL that was waiting in my desk. So I made another Turkey, Cheese, Pesto sandwich and to spice it since I'd be having it for lunch too I put it on Ezk 4:9 bread. That's biblical too. Enough about my stomach, back to Bekah, we had a wonderful time catching up. I was reminded as to why I accepted a campus job. I need to be refreshed during my day. I was encouraged to reconcecrate myself and continue to take my hands off. Not only in the churchlife but also in my personal life. Bekah had read a most excellent footnote in Daniel about the ark which led to fellowship and restored my love for the Lord. Basically my lunch was GREAT. :-D
Another little thing I noticed was the living leaf phenomenon. This creature looks just like a little leaf but it's NOT!! It's true. I saw one gently fall to the campus bricks at my feet and as I was staring at the leaf, trying to figure out what tree it came from, a FEROCIOUS squirrel pounced on it. This was followed closely by a nasty grackle. However, this story does not have a tragic ending. Somehow, in all the tussle, the leaf fluttered away, unnoticed by the squarming varmits. That's how I know that the leaf was alive. I think it's called being observational.
