Caffeine Fix

This is the morning that I pulled my beach sunset photo from a couple of years ago out of my sock drawer and brought it to work. I have a desk now and with deskage comes the right (and responsibility) to decorate with myriads of pictures of one's children and spouses. As I have no children and no spouses I decided to display pictures of my beaches on my desk. The first one is really quite nice.

So it's Wednesday. My eyes are a little raccoon-esk however I made the executive decision this morning that I was not going to wear under-eye concealer. Lisa will probably shudder, I think it's one of her jobs to point out when my circles are showing. I call it a job because there must be some reason that I pay for her food and various other items. :-P So anyways, here I am with tired eyes and I have the tell-tale smell of ingested coffee on my breath. I don't understand how something that smells and tastes so wonderful putrefies so quickly when it "touches your lips." ANYWAY my point is that this is a milestone in my working career. No longer can I peer down my nose at the twitching coffee addicts while I confidentially order the latest variety of herbal tea. This cancer-wary girl has been defeated by a 7am workday. You see, while coffee is always wonderful, tasty, and perfect, after a month or less all herbal tea tastes the same, smells the same, and lacks that certain morning appeal that coffee embodies. After all, how can I possibly enjoy my $1.80+ cup of stewed leaves and roots when I am surrounded by the aroma of coffee, watching cup after mug of specialty drinks pass me by. Thus the true change this morning isn't that I folded under the pressure of the Industrial KRUPS coffee machine in the staff lounge; simply put I have decided that I can and will have coffee whenever I want. (As long as I have eaten and it is six hours before bed time.) Capitulation? I think not. I lasted seven months.

In other news I cannot seem to wash my clothes. It's a long ways upstairs and I dread the impending ironing so I've moved from pants to skirts today. It's not a bad outfit and I think it fits into the business casual category however I feel cute regardless because Superman is there for me. :) Yup. Perhaps tonight I'll do laundry: doubtful, doubtful.

Isaiah 9:6 - a good drive to work verse.

Upon further observation of my calendar I discovered that Sunday is just as good as Monday. Yup. Neither is better than the other. However I'm not sure if I'll have a car and I have no idea where I'm staying. ciao ciao.

It's 10:30 and I'm starving already!
