Central Market

I think all the campus-classified animals were out to get me yesterday after I laughed at the fainting goats. First a courting pair of squirrels, actually the girl squirrel was yelling at the boy squirrel, ran between my legs and up on my table outside the Sanchez building. I was petrified. All I could think was rabies. Yes. So I made a few half-hearted attempts to bat at them with the stationary I was composing letters on but that only seemed to interest them further and I was forced to flee inside. Unfortunately it just got worse. Miss Emily picked me up for lunch, poor thing, she got a freezing zombie but I eventually warmed up, and after careful deliberation we set off for Central Market. And shared a wonderful pesto, mushroom, olive, artichoke, goat cheese pizza outside on the deck. As usual there were swarms of nasty grackles and pigeons, which added an exotic element to the muggy atmosphere. Urban rainforest. As i picked up my first piece of pizza I felt a warm plop on my head. Right in the middle. And i reached up, And it was WET and WARM and GOOEY!!!! SOOOO DISGUSTING. Emily sponged off the mess with a handful of napkins and we both proceeded to feel rather nauceated. Eww. It still makes my skin crawl a little. As our food had not been bombed yet we moved inside. Into the cool, noisy CM environment. It's amazing how the A/C doesn't bother you as long as you are being protected from the bombing birds outside. I survived through the rest of the afternoon and went straight home and took a shower and washed my hair 3 times with 3 different shampoos. VERY CLEAN! Today has not been so eventful, most of the office is out because they're taking a long labor day (or Memorial day?) and I decided to forego lunch so I can make my doctor's appointment on time. And cause I'm don't really want to eat lunch alone. It's kinda sad. Back to job research and the occasional hotfare.com quick trip fares site check. It makes me feel like I could potentially travel. I'm feeling a little trapped....
