Butterflies
I couldn't sleep at all last night, no matter the amount of pill-popping that was going on. Something about all the variables of traveling wreck my stomach and my sleeping. hm... So there I am, 3 o'clock in the morning, clutching my little PDA up next to my face, surfing the net in a desperate attempt to do some last minute "research". I believe that I have convinced myself that it is possible to make it from work to the airport in Houston in 6 hours but I'm afraid I'm going to get losted. There's alot of road between those two locations and you have to factor in traffic and, well, getting lost and it's Friday so you have consider traffic again and then again, besides there's wrecks, missing road signs, random acts of nature, etc. This churning thought cycle resides in my stomach (not my brain which is cool and collected, as always) and produces the butterflies. Surely 3 different maps, several roadside assistance numbers, a cell phone and blonde hair will get me there but one never knows. (Also I think the stress is causing my feet to gently 'glow' and so I lined my shoes with tissue but that's rapidly turning to mush. Ew.)
Optimistically I will not go hungry. I found a two-fer special at the deli around the corner so I can get TWO sandwiches for $5 and then I have one for lunch and one for the car/plane. Or any other combination that suits my fancy. O the limitless options. I'm sure there's a math problem to figure that one out. blech.
Btw: I do not normally line my shoes with tissue HOWEVER since I cleaned my car out there were no sockies to put on this morning when I got to work. Thankfully I remembered to wear shoes. This is actually my FIRST time to use tissue in a shoe setting and it works quite well so no making fun.

Tissue-lining of shoes is so unexceptable, Gracie... you know that! nah, just playing... leave it to you to find a innovative way to deal with the situations that life throws at you.
I must have totally missed you this weekend in sunny So. Cal. The graduation was amazing... a little overwhelming considering I knew just about every graduate in that class of 93 peeps and not to mention a bunch of the attendees.
Thank you for all your prayers. I officially ended things with my So. Cal. beau over coffee on saturday. I had a strange peace about it all,... partially not conprehensible considering the past 5 months, but I am thankful how it ended. (if for some odd reason I am crying over this in the future, remind me what I have written here). So I am now officially free to love the Lord and whomever else He puts in my path... *wink* nothing has happened yet, but as my Lia has reminded me, 'When the lord closes a door, He always opens a window.' So we will see.
I miss you darling. Hope all went well for you this weekend. Call me sometime soon ok.
love, ejb
I don't know how I missed you either!! I got there around 9ish but spent most of the after-party dancing from back and forth in the restroom line. We left right away so that we could head to the beach, of course that was pointless as 10 girls picking out bathing suits takes quite awhile. I did really enjoy the graduation, esp. Brother Ron's word afterwards, it was so encouraging and refreshing to be reminded to stay in the flow! I'm glad I have you, my little stay-in-the-flow buddy to keep me encouraged to pursue Christ.
And the So. Cal. thing, I've been praying for you, as in mentioning you to the Lord since I have no idea what to actually pray for but I'm glad that you're at peace. OOOO the possibilities are vast, immense, immeasureable!!! ;) hehe... Also you never know, the Lord might have closed a window and opened a door. (I made another reference first but decided I better not leave it.) Anyway, it all depends on perspective, and yes, we will see.
The weekend was most EXCELLENT besides an unfortunate missing of my airplane on Sunday. Yes. I tried to make the best of a bad situation though. Call me when you have time, either this week or FOR SURE next.
love ya
